Life in Taunton as a young professional

Hello, Just moved here 2 months ago and Household incomes average around $79,715 in Taunton. Rent is about $1,269/month for a decent place. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. Appreciate any input.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely pretty good and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (East) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Property taxes are high.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
