Cost of living reality check -Tavares

Curious what people think. I've been here for 4 years and It's a a small town city with about 19,738 people. With a population of 19,738, Tavares is a small town. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Would love some local perspective. Appreciate any input. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's exactly what I was looking for. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
