Taylor housing prices -when will it stop?

I'm a 35-year-old accountant and Household incomes average around $59,537 in Taylor. Median household income is $59,537, which feels about average for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Taylor sits at 620.5 per 100K. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. With a population of 62,405, Taylor is a smaller city. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Pros:
- Strong sense of community
- Good internet infrastructure
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Rising rent prices
- Not very walkable
- Limited cultural events
Any advice would be great. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 1 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
