Weekend activities in Taylor?

Longtime lurker here, We're a young couple and Median household income is $60,446, which feels about average for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Taylor sits at 210.0 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 5.1%, which is about average. It's a a small town city with about 6,261 people. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Any advice would be great. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Decent public transit for the size
- The walkability scene is tough

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. Good luck with whatever you decide..
