Moving to Taylors for work -advice?

Random thought, Been living here since 2020. Poverty rate is 8.1%, which is pretty low. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Public transit is pretty good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I genuinely enjoy living here.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Pine Hills for 14 years. Moved from Nashville for retirement. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is tough. We bought in 2016 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
retail is strong here. retail is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are manageable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The outdoor scene is tough - we have mountains within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Pine Hills schools are better than expected. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Traffic during rush hour is rough. Limited shopping options. And pet-friendliness can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 9/10. Good luck with whatever you decide.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Active local events and festivals
- The school system scene is average

The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from LA about 8 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good healthcare facilities
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Nightlife is limited

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are developing, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want school system, then yeah this place is great. But if weather matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I've been living here for 4 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The housing market is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..
