Moving to Taylorsville for work -advice?

Hey folks, The unemployment rate is 1.4%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The weather is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value walkability, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely tough and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (Maple Ridge) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
