How much do you pay for rent in Taylorsville?
Hey folks, I grew up here but left for a while. It's a a smaller city city with about 59,010 people. Poverty rate is 7.8%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Thoughts? TIA! It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.
