OK so Am I overthinking this? Appreciate any input. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

I've been living here for 4 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The cost of living is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..

I've lived in Midtown for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good airport with direct flights
- The outdoor recreation scene is pretty good
The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
