Tecumseh in the winter -how bad?

Been meaning to ask this. Born and raised here. Poverty rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Has anyone dealt with this? The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

We moved here with our family and it exceeded my expectations. Schools in Eastside area are surprisingly good. Kids love it here.

I've lived in South for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- The healthcare scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
