Unpopular opinion about Tega Cay

OK so It's a a small town city with about 13,267 people. Poverty rate is 0.7%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $494,500 on average. You can expect to pay around $1,307 for rent here. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. What do you all think? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Eastside. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in tech. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
