Affordable areas near Temecula?

Born and raised here. The unemployment rate is 3.7%, which is pretty low. It's a a mid-size city city with about 110K people. Rent is about $2,297/month for a decent place. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. Thoughts? The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Chicago about 5 years ago. The main reasons were family and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Four distinct seasons
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are reasonable, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Happy to answer more specific questions..
