Biggest downsides of living in Temecula?

Hey, I'm a remote worker and It's a a mid-size city city with about 110K people. Homes are going for about $640,400 on average. The unemployment rate is 3.7%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $640,400, which is pretty steep. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Low crime in most areas
- Good schools
- Lots of new development
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Limited dining options
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Mosquitoes and humidity
- Limited cultural events
Would love some local perspective. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Weather-wise, the summers are pretty good and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from Minneapolis about 15 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are competitive, gas is underrated.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Definitely worth checking out..
