Is Temecula a good place to live?
Been meaning to ask this. I'm a college student here and With a population of 110K, Temecula is a mid-size city. You can expect to pay around $2,297 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 3.7%, which is pretty low. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.
Pros:
- Good job market
- Growing food scene
- Good schools
- Plenty of shopping options
- Active local events
Cons:
- High property taxes
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Mosquitoes and humidity
- Limited cultural events
- Chain restaurants dominate
Am I overthinking this? Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.
