Is Tempe a good place to live?
Not sure if this has been asked before, but The median home value here is around $421,900, which is pretty steep. Rent is about $1,623/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 4.0%, which is pretty low. It's a a mid-size city city with about 186K people. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
