Curious what people think. Median household income is $208,088, which feels pretty solid for the area. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. What would you do? Thanks!

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is nightlife. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Charlotte about 12 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Four distinct seasons
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are manageable, gas is solid.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've been living here for 3 years and I'd say I love the pace of life here. The cost of living is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are surprisingly good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is challenging in most areas.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Baltimore about 2 years ago. The main reasons were work and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are growing, gas is excellent.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Hope this helps!.
