Alright, I'm a remote worker and Rent is about $877/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $877 for rent here. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Should I be concerned? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Bought a house here in 2023 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. the quality of life is solid. Compared to New York it's average.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Nashville about 7 years ago. The main reasons were work and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are pricey, gas is decent.
Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Good luck with whatever you decide..
