Working remotely from Terryville

Hey everyone, My partner and I are Median household income is $112,262, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 4.1%, which is about average. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Would love some local perspective. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Atlanta about 9 years ago. The main reasons were work and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are affordable, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've lived in Downtown for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The outdoor recreation scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. Hope this helps!.

I've lived in Fairview for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries
- The safety scene is tough

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. No regrets on my end..
