How is Texas City for outdoor activities?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Median household income is $65,447, which feels about average for the area. Poverty rate is 15.0%, which is around average. With a population of 54,159, Texas City is a smaller city. Rent is about $1,200/month for a decent place. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Thoughts? Cheers. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Bought a house here in 2016 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in The Heights area are underrated. Kids love it here.
