Is it worth buying in The Acreage?

I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Homes are going for about $464,400 on average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Atlanta about 4 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are established, gas is pretty good.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Happy to answer more specific questions..
