Should I move to The Colony or stay in Tampa?

Hey everyone, Just moved here 7 months ago and You can expect to pay around $1,884 for rent here. It's a a smaller city city with about 44,916 people. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Any advice would be great. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Sunset. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in finance. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
