Relocating to The Hammocks, FL -pros and cons?
Hey, I've been here for 5 years and The unemployment rate is 1.6%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -The Hammocks sits at 231.7 per 100K. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Does this match your experience? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good.
