The Hammocks is underrated, change my mind

Longtime lurker here, I've been here for 11 years and Crime rate is something to consider -The Hammocks sits at 231.7 per 100K. With a population of 58,548, The Hammocks is a smaller city. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Thanks for reading.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Cedar Grove. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
