Best apartments in The Pinery under ?

Hey, Born and raised here. The unemployment rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What are your go-to spots? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Fairview. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in construction. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Bought a house here in 2022 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in South. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in legal. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

No regrets on my end..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Austin about 11 years ago. The main reasons were family and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are established, gas is solid.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
