OK so Average temperature is around 71--F, so it's warm year-round. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Has anyone dealt with this? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a accountant who relocated here from Portland about 10 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Close to major attractions
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Chain restaurants dominate
Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are wild, gas is tough.
Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
