The Woodlands job market vs Austin
I'm a remote worker and Homes are going for about $479,400 on average. Average temperature is around 71--F, so it's warm year-round. Poverty rate is 3.7%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -The Woodlands sits at 224.8 per 100K. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. Has anyone dealt with this? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up.
