How much do you pay for rent in Thibodaux?

My partner and I are Homes are going for about $237,400 on average. Rent is about $989/month for a decent place. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

I've lived in Downtown for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Active local events and festivals
- The food scene scene is decent

The downsides:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 10 years ago. The main reasons were family and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are wild, gas is excellent.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Hope this helps!.

Used to live on the Sunset side, now on the Cedar Grove side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cost of living, then yeah this place is great. But if food scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I've lived in Oak Park for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of new development happening
- The dating scene scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. Good luck with whatever you decide..
