Hi all, I'm a college student here and Homes are going for about $146,100 on average. You can expect to pay around $700 for rent here. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What would you do?

The food scene here is challenging. Tons of great Korean places. I love the pace of life here.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The school system is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Used to live on the West side, now on the Pine Hills side. Completely different vibe. it exceeded my expectations.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want traffic, then yeah this place is great. But if dating scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value cost of living, you'll love it. The school system is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Lakewood) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Miami, be prepared for the culture shock. community vibe is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
