Is public transit usable in Thomasville?

Hey folks, I'm a teacher here and Homes are going for about $177,000 on average. You can expect to pay around $864 for rent here. Median household income is $43,669, which feels on the lower side for the area. The unemployment rate is 5.7%, which is about average. Crime rate is something to consider -Thomasville sits at 856.5 per 100K. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Should I be concerned? The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is outdoor recreation. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Boston about 6 years ago. The main reasons were family and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good healthcare facilities
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are affordable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
