Crime rate is something to consider -Thomasville sits at 373.9 per 100K. Am I overthinking this?

Public transit is average here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's not perfect but it works for me.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's been a really good experience overall. The only thing I'd watch out for is food scene. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value nightlife, you'll love it. The school system is genuinely decent and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (Springfield) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Nashville, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Limited shopping options.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Boston about 8 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Good internet infrastructure
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Road conditions need improvement
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are growing, gas is solid.

Background: I'm a project manager, 28, moved here 9 years ago from Boston. I've lived in Greenfield and Uptown, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Growing food and restaurant scene
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Strong sense of community
4. The people are generally decent - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Traffic during rush hour is rough
2. Urban sprawl is real
3. The food scene situation is established and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Greenfield: Great for families. solid vibes, walkable.
- Uptown: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
