Thomasville quality of life -am I missing something?

First post here. My partner and I are Homes are going for about $163,200 on average. Median household income is $58,246, which feels about average for the area. It's a a smaller city city with about 27,261 people. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Would love some local perspective. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Lakewood. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in engineering. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Definitely worth checking out..
