I'm a college student here and With a population of 143K, Thornton is a mid-size city. You can expect to pay around $1,810 for rent here. It's a a mid-size city city with about 143K people. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to.
