Hello, Military spouse here. Homes are going for about $951,200 on average. It's a a mid-size city city with about 126K people. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Any advice would be great.

As someone who grew up here, I love the pace of life here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. outdoor recreation used to be much growing but now it's tough.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I genuinely enjoy living here. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.
I've been here 8 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is average.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is traffic. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..
