What's it really like living in Thunder Mountain?

Anyone else feel this way? We're a young couple and Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What neighborhoods would you suggest? It...
