Anyone else feel this way? Been living here since 2019. Median household income is $55,700, which feels about average for the area. The median home value here is around $129,200, which is actually reasonable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Has anyone dealt with this? I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a accountant who relocated here from Minneapolis about 13 years ago. The main reasons were school and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Active local events and festivals
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Property taxes are high
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are affordable, gas is decent.
Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
