Just moved to Tifton, any tips?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Rent is about $793/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Tifton sits at 792.0 per 100K. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Let me know your thoughts. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

I've lived in North for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
- The food scene scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Rising rent and home prices

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want food scene, then yeah this place is great. But if housing market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
