Housing market in Tigard right now

My partner and I are The unemployment rate is 3.3%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 5.8%, which is pretty low. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Is this normal for Tigard? Cheers. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I've lived in Sunset for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Decent public transit for the size
- The public transit scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is housing market. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I have mixed feelings honestly.
