Hi all, I'm a teacher here and The median home value here is around $585,700, which is pretty steep. Crime rate is something to consider -Tigard sits at 214.0 per 100K. Homes are going for about $585,700 on average. Household incomes average around $105,008 in Tigard. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. Am I wrong here? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.
