Life in Timberlane as a young professional

Alright, I'm single, late 50s, and The median home value here is around $209,200, which is actually reasonable. Homes are going for about $209,200 on average. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 11 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.

I've been living here for 3 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The community vibe is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..
