Unpopular opinion about Timberlane

Hello, I grew up here but left for a while. Homes are going for about $209,200 on average. Median household income is $66,170, which feels about average for the area. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Am I wrong here? I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Meadowbrook for 15 years. Moved from Austin for family. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is tough. We bought in 2021 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
finance is strong here. finance is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are stable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
the quality of life is solid. The outdoor scene is surprisingly good - we have beaches within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Meadowbrook schools are improving. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not a lot of cultural diversity. Dating scene is rough. And safety can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 7/10. Give it a chance - it might surprise you.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Public transit is tough here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in Oak Park area are decent. Kids love it here.

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Decent public transit for the size
- The housing market scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for families. No regrets on my end..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to Austin it's better than expected.

I've lived in Westside for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- The cultural scene scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. Happy to answer more specific questions..
