OK so I'm a nurse at the local hospital and You can expect to pay around $1,790 for rent here. Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. The median home value here is around $478,800, which is pretty steep. Poverty rate is 1.9%, which is pretty low. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What neighborhoods would you suggest? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up.

I've lived in Riverside for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Decent public transit for the size
- The walkability scene is surprisingly good
The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Road conditions need improvement
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a chef who relocated here from Atlanta about 2 years ago. The main reasons were family and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good internet infrastructure
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are pricey, gas is decent.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. No regrets on my end..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Internet is tough in most areas.
