Random thought, We have two kids and The median home value here is around $77,600, which is actually reasonable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Does this match your experience? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The food scene is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from San Francisco about 14 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and retirement.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited high-paying job options
Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are manageable, gas is challenging.
Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
