Not sure if this has been asked before, but The unemployment rate is 4.1%, which is about average. Household incomes average around $103,819 in Tinley Park. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I overthinking this? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The school system is genuinely average and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (The Heights) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Limited shopping options.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want walkability, then yeah this place is great. But if cultural scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
