Things Tinley Park needs to improve

Hello, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and It's a a smaller city city with about 55,007 people. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. The unemployment rate is 4.1%, which is about average. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cheers. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.

Bought a house here in 2021 and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

Bought a house here in 2022 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone about the same since then.

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, Hope this helps!.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is surprisingly good in most areas.
