Hey, Crime rate is something to consider -Todd Creek sits at 367.6 per 100K. Household incomes average around $185,417 in Todd Creek. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Does this match your experience? The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Four distinct seasons
- The safety scene is average

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Meadowbrook. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in government. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Asian.

Definitely worth checking out..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value public transit, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely average and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Midtown) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Boston, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Chain restaurants dominate.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
