Random thought, I've been here for 20 years and Crime rate is something to consider -Toftrees sits at 46.0 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 2,348 people. The unemployment rate is 9.3%, which is concerning. Homes are going for about $397,300 on average. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Is this normal for Toftrees? Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development.
