So, We have two kids and Homes are going for about $107,000 on average. Rent is about $880/month for a decent place. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Thanks in advance! The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The weather is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 10 years here, that's my honest assessment.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Fairview. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in government you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Southern.
Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Weather-wise, the summers are hit or miss and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.

As someone who grew up here, it's exactly what I was looking for. A lot has changed in the past few years though. housing market used to be much affordable but now it's decent.
