Rent in Toledo getting crazy

OK so I'm originally from Sacramento and It's a a mid-size city city with about 268K people. Homes are going for about $107,000 on average. Average temperature is around 53°F, so expect cold winters. Median household income is $47,532, which feels on the lower side for the area. With a population of 268K, Toledo is a mid-size city. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Pros:
- Good schools
- Walkable downtown
- Plenty of shopping options
- Active local events

Cons:
- Hot summers
- Cold winters
- Limited dining options
- Poor road conditions
Is this normal for Toledo? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
