Rent vs buy in Tonawanda -what makes sense?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Household incomes average around $61,619 in Tonawanda. With a population of 15,044, Tonawanda is a small town. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Is this normal for Tonawanda? Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Bought a house here in 2021 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is challenging in most areas.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's not perfect but it works for me. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
