Tonawanda quality of life -am I missing something?

Hello, It's a a small town city with about 15,044 people. Household incomes average around $61,619 in Tonawanda. The median home value here is around $159,500, which is actually reasonable. The unemployment rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Meadowbrook. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in education. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Feel free to reach out with questions..
