Hi all, I grew up here but left for a while. It's a a smaller city city with about 56,973 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Tonawanda Town sits at 146.3 per 100K. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.
I've been here 1 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is excellent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Oak Park side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is hit or miss.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

My experience has been mostly positive. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The only thing I'd watch out for is cultural scene. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
